The Philosophy and The Plan

To begin, I must emphasize, I am not running for President. I have no real desire for power or influence. It is my intent that the PLATFORM I have put forth and endorse is what you will agree with, support and vote for. The cult of personality will not be a part of this campaign effort; in fact, it will be hard to even call the way I wish to go about promoting this platform and effort for election as a campaign.

That brings us to the plan. How can a nobody, someone with no political experience or credentials, a person with no connections at any level to the political machinery, hope to gain any support? How can someone who refuses to take or spend any money whatsoever hope to contend against hundred-million dollar war chests? What chance does such an effort have in succeeding?

At the fore, it must be admitted, that there is little to no chance this effort will gain even modest support. It is unrealistic to honestly look at this effort and have any belief that could even escape the confines of this blog. More likely, I will be one of less than a couple of dozen who will even see these words.

It is my hope, however, that in the current political climate, one of two things happens. One is that a legitimate and viable candidate will be exposed to the ideas I put forth and adopt them whole cloth; I do believe that a nationally recognized character who believes in the concepts stated here, and broadcasts them as their own, will go far in connecting with the wishes and desires of the American public.

The other is that, barring adoption by a viable candidate, enough like-minded Americans will become exposed to the concepts I write about here, and provide a true grassroots support to an electoral effort. Since no money will be collected, invested or spent in this effort, there is no way that a traditional campaign could be conducted; in this case, my name would not even appear on the ballot.

I would hope that people who believe in the words I write, who have a genuine passion for a substantive change in direction by our federal authorities, who wish to restore the Republic to its previous position of greatness, would pass this information on to others, become inspired and filled with excitement, and that a grassroots movement would thrust this effort into national prominence. The traditional media would never cooperate in this matter, so such a movement would have to be spawned in the new technological arenas that have become commonplace over the past decade.

The simple plan I have is to present a platform that Americans are inspired by, allow my fellow Countrymen opportunity to freely disseminate the information that provides them inspiration, and ask all of these folks to reject the offerings presented at the ballot box in November 2012. This will be a write-in candidacy, where we forego all of the traditional efforts and hurdles that are now part of our electoral system.

This will allow the effort to stay free of being tainted by any obligation to anyone. By staying free of partisan political parties, refusing to pander to special interests, and only being guided by Constitutional principles, this will be the purest and truest political campaign any alive today have ever seen.

Unrealistic? Probably. Impossible? Likely. The right thing to do? Obviously.

PLATFORM

Here is the simple platform on which I run:

• I pledge that I will not run for reelection in this office, nor for any other office higher than local school board, after one four-year term is complete. I do not strive for power or influence; I only wish to serve as our founders intended, and return to a normal life.
• I will sign no piece of legislation that is not specifically, explicitly within the bounds of a strict interpretation of the US Constitution.
• I will veto every piece of legislation that proposes deficit spending and/or expands the federal deficit.
• I will reduce every department under the purview of the Executive Branch by at least 50% within four years, by Executive Order if necessary.
• I will veto any piece of legislation that proposes an increase in any form of taxes.
• I will work towards advancement of permanent legislative requirements to insure a balanced budget and a yearly effort to pay off the federal deficit that extends beyond my four-year term.
• I will strive for a reduction in personal and business taxes and fees, and a decrease in unnecessary regulation of the former, in order to stimulate economic growth and Individual determination.
• I will seek an end to the Social Security system, and allow citizens to decide their own economic futures, without confiscating their income against their will.
• I will attempt to return as much power, authority and decision-making that has been seized by all three branches of the federal government to the States and the People as prescribed by our Founders, and as is possible in the office of President without violating the restraints put on the Executive authority.
• I will seek to secure our National borders, in cooperation with the individual States. The rule of law throughout the land includes the laws meant to maintain an orderly immigration policy. We welcome new citizens who are productive and subscribe to the concepts of Liberty and Individual responsibility; those that would circumvent procedures to enter our country under orderly procedures already violate the concept of personal determination and responsibility that are requirements for citizenship.
• I will support free-market principles. This includes refusing to interfere when companies or entities fail – regardless of their size – or intervening when such reach overwhelming successes.
• I will strive for implementation of a flat-tax, where all citizens and businesses truly pay their “fair share” as a percentage of their earnings. Such a system is not only equitable, it also limits the amount the government may seize from the citizenry, and requires the government to promote wealth creation as a means to increase its own income.
• I will reform our military structure by promoting policies that attract the brightest and best into our Services, extracts those that provide a “drag” on performance and productivity, and remove restraints from those who know best how to execute our military maneuvers.
• I will seek a full accounting of our monetary system and the entities that have a role in shaping it; I will demand full transparency in the future execution of economic policy that belongs to the People!
• I will strive for removal of the United States from any World government structure, including the United Nations, and the removal of any World government structure, including the Untied Nations, from United States soil.
• I will not subscribe to or support any treaty, legislation or other policy based on suspect scientific, philosophical or political theory.

In the coming days and weeks, more items will be added to this platform, but these are the most vital areas that I believe the bulk of US citizens are striving for. We need a recovery and restoration of our economic system, a revitalization of our Independent nature, and a return to an environment of personal determination and growth. Allowing the Individual to strive and succeed is vital to allowing the Nation to do the same. Returning power, decision-making and autonomy to each of the States and all of the Individuals is the key to the restoration of our nation to a beacon of light and hope to the rest of the World.

About Me

I’m a normal human being. A sinner. Full of deficits and deficiencies. Not a Savior, not endowed with self-proclaimed insight or abilities, not to be adored or worshipped.

I have abused illicit substances. I have engaged in immoral indiscretions. I continue to strive for improvement, but fall far short of perfection.

I’m probably much like you.

Despite my foibles and shortcomings, I try. I try to be good, to work hard and do what I should, to tend to those important things like providing for family and friends. Sometimes I fail, but often I succeed.

And, like you, I enjoy doing these things without the interference of outside bodies or institutions. I wish for even less intrusion by external forces, and attempt to not intrude on the wishes of my neighbors and fellow citizens.

None of my failures, none of my human fallibility, none of the dirt and scum that someone may present about me, none of it should factor… only those things that I believe and propose are material. As I have presented, I am far from perfect; those who seek to supposedly serve often try to present themselves as somehow pure or above-human, and strip their opponents of humanity by focusing on their animalistic tendencies. This is a distraction, as we all have and all will continue to fall short of the ideal, albeit in varying degrees.

That being said, I must submit that as one of you, as one who does not try to present an illusion of superhuman qualities, as one who admits to fault, I would hope you can have some bit of faith and trust in my word.

My word is that as the person you would elect to a position of service in governance, I will abide solely by the single piece of sanity remaining in our nation, that being the original piece of our nation, the US Constitution. Despite my failures, despite my personal shortcomings, I have deep in my soul and being a belief in the rule of law, confidence in Individual liberty and determination, and a passion for privacy and life without intrusion or interference by any other entity as long as I conduct my affairs in a civil manner.

So, as a sinner, as a far-less-than-perfect-human, as YOU, I ask for your support and sanction as a true believer in the ideals of Liberty, Justice and Independence.

A Simple Appeal For Your Support

I have been compelled to embark on this venture. This is nothing I ever envisioned or even desired. In fact, I wish the circumstances that have transpired in our nation would never have passed to impel this effort.

There is no one I trust or am inspired by to put my support behind for any elected office, not to mention the highest office in our land and in the world. I have hoped for another Reagan to make himself (or herself) evident, a figure who is truly committed to the restoration of the values and principles upon which our nation was founded, a person who is committed to the concepts of Natural Law and Natural Rights, a citizen whose motivations are guided by the Founders pure vision of liberty and determination.

No one has risen to that cause. It is my perception that the majority of my fellow citizens thirst for such a leader. The climate of the country is one of uncertainty and fear. This, to me, is a tragedy, as we have always been a confident and self-assured citizenry. For the nation to be in such a state only affirms that our course is sorely misguided, and our status is in serious jeopardy.

For these reasons, among others, I submit my service to the nation. I must emphasize the concepts by which I would govern, and the limitations by which I would seek your support:

• I REFUSE, NO MATTER THE CIRCUMSTANCES, TO TAKE A SINGLE PENNY OF MONEY OR ANY OTHER COMPENSATION, TO ADVANCE AN EFFORT TO BE ELECTED. EITHER THE CITIZENRY AGREES WITH MY PRINCIPLES, OR THEY DO NOT. EITHER BUSINESS IS SATISFIED WITH THE PHILOSOPHIES OR THEY DO NOT. EITHER SPECIAL INTEREST GROUPS SUPPORT THE AGENDA  I ENDORSE, OR THEY DO NOT. MY BELIEFS ARE NOT, AND SHALL NEVER BE, DICTATED BY THE AMOUNT OF MONEY A GROUP, PERSON, ENTITY OR CORPORATION PROVIDES TO ME.
• IT IS MY SOLEMN OATH AND DUTY TO ONLY ADVANCE LEGISLATION AND POLICIES THAT ARE EXPLICITLY AND SPECIFICALLY OUTLINED IN THE HIGHEST AUTHORITY OF OUR LAND, THE UNITED STATES CONSTITUTION. FOR NO REASON, WHETHER JUSTIFIED OR NOT, WOULD I EVER ENDORSE OR ATTEMPT TO CIRCUMVENT CONSTITUTIONAL PRINCIPLES
• THE OVERRIDING IMPETUS BEHIND MY GOVERNANCE WOULD BE TO RESTORE THE REPUBLIC TO THE CONCEPTS OF CONSTITUTIONAL RULE, WHERE NO MAN OR GROUP OF MEN ARE ABLE TO ADVANCE THEIR OWN AGENDAS THAT ARE CONTRARY TO SUCH PRINCIPLES.  I WOULD MAKE EVERY EFFORT TO REVERSE THE CENTURY OF ASSAULT ON OBVIOUS CONSTITUTIONAL CONCEPTS THAT HAVE BEEN PERVERTED OR EVEN BLATANTLY IGNORED BY LEGISLATIVE ACTION AND JUDICIAL ACTIVISM.
• THE ONLY AUTHORITY I WOULD FEEL THE NEED TO ANSWER TO ARE THE SPECIFIC AND QUITE CLEAR CONCEPTS OF CONSTITUTIONAL LAW THAT WERE EXPLICITLY STATED TO BE DERIVED FROM PROVIDENTIAL ENDOWMENT. EVEN THOSE WHO WOULD ELECT ME COULD NOT THREATEN ME WITH ANY SANCTIONS TO VEER ME FROM THE RULE OF DIVINE LAW.
• I DO NOT WISH TO EVEN EMBARK ON THIS INITIAL EFFORT; NOTHING I WOULD PURSUE IN THIS HIGHEST OF OFFICES WOULD BE IN VIOLATION OF THE PRINCIPLES I OUTLINED ABOVE, AND MORE IMPORTANTLY, NOTHING WOULD BE DONE FOR THE PURPOSES OF INSURING FURTHER ELECTED OFFICE OR OTHER SELFISH MOTIVATION.

I will be certain to elaborate on the specifics of what I would pursue to restore our nation, and to provide you more information about who I am. To put things simply, I am YOU… simply a concerned citizen, who has no political experience, has no political aspirations, but is quite fearful for the direction our nation has taken and desperately desires a reversal of the policies that have sent us collectively on a crash course with despotism and tyranny.

In the coming days, I will outline the philosophies I support and the specific steps I would pursue to restore our wonderful Republic. I will also share with you more about me personally, so you have an understanding of the type of person you may wish to support.

It is my hope that another person will come to the fore who eliminates the need for me to take this effort; however, this wish does not appear to be realistic at this time. For this reason, I submit this simple appeal for your support… not of me, but of the principles which I believe, and that you share with me.
